I think it's entirely possible that this weekend, I am going to just sit in silence and revel in the fact that no one is singing at the top of their lungs. And that it doesn't sound like a cat is dying. If it seems like I've been ignoring everyone, I have because I had to put silence charms on my ears for a while.
Also, sometimes I really don't understand people. Someone brought his friend to see me because apparently his friend had a gaping, festering wound on his toe and he had no idea it was there. I looked at it, because he didn't want to go to St. Mungos but he had to go anyway because it was so bad. Now he has to have his toe amputated. How do you not realize that you have a wound like that?! I get when adrenaline has prevented you from feeling. But he had this wound for about a month apparently.

I absolutely have nothing to do this weekend. I've already graded all my papers and now I have the rest of the weekend free. I hardly know what to do with myself. I've heard there's some kind of pie eating competition. I've been known to hold my own, but I wasn't training for it.
Anyone else have any fun plans for the weekend? Why isn't there ever wine tastings? Or perhaps wine guzzlings, those might be more fun.

I ended up having to get a new sandwich because someone wouldn't let me into the Staff Room to get my sandwich. My new sandwich wasn't as good that the one that was waiting for me in the staff room. I suppose I'm going to have to find somewhere else to put my lunches from now on. Maybe I'll have to get a compartment and put a lock on it.
